This project began as a desperate need inside myself to tell the world about a wonderful man whose life was taken way too soon. My Daddy, George Emile Matte "Slim". I wanted to build not only a memorial to him, but also to try to find a way to make it so no other person will have to lose their loved one because of Brain Cancer. I was inspired by many different things, my Aunt's determination to assist in making Congress declare National Brain Cancer Research Month, By the many wonderful organizations out there trying to find a cure for this terrible disease, but mainly the thing that launched this "Idea" was the love, support and guidance of my husband. He had the vision of creating a memorial on the internet, a place that as it grows will give information, guidance and support to anyone struggling with this disease. A place to go for comfort, where you will be in the company of others who know exactly how you feel.

There are so many doctors, scientists and other determined people and organizations out there searching and testing trying to find a cure. My dream is to eventually organize fund raisers and accept donations, that will then be given to one of four organizations fighting for a cure.
Right now we are in our infancy but I invite you to come back regularly to see what improvements are made and please if you have ideas, suggestions or stories of your own please send me an email. I would love to include your personal story on my page. Please also sign our guest book.
Together we can change the world.
The Video you see below has nothing to do with Brain Cancer Research it is just my own personal tribute to a man I miss so much. This song has always reminded me of my daddy, It has touched me with his presence when I felt the need to be near him....
